From tasty street food and authentic, regional curries to the everyday meal on a platter and appetising grills, you will find it all here at Calcutta Club, an Indian tapas-style restaurant and cocktail lounge in Cambridge.
With an tribal Indian mural as its centrepiece, Calcutta Club in Cambridge features a contemporary open theatre kitchen, with chefs preparing the cuisine live before your eyes. Start your meal with one, or some, of the appetisers. These tantalising tasters of Indian cuisine, from the Papdi Chat to the Samosas, are all freshly prepared and bursting with flavour. Also available as a starter, or as a main course, is the selection of kebab and grill dishes. Dishes such as the Caribbean Fish Kebabs (with swordfish steak cuts) and the Tandoori Chicken are marinated in exotic spices and herbs, before being char-grilled to perfection in the authentic clay tandoor.
Traditional Thali platters are also available in a variety of combinations, and you can also enjoy a delicious Dosawala; a South Indian wrap and a rare speciality in the UK. As you would expect, there is also a fantastic choice of curries to enjoy, all inspired by regional cuisines as well as Calcutta Club’s own unique family recipes, handed down through generations. |
